G2B Sandals

Submitted by DE on Wednesday, 7 January 2009One Comment

It is not necessarily the latest news but maybe new to some readers. Last Spring Gisele Bundchen debuted her line of eco-friendly sandals and flip flops. Her first collaboration with Brazilian footwear company Ipanema sold out with proceeds going to the Kisedje Tribal Campaign. The next line, called G2B, is donating profits to Y Ikatu Xingu, de ohlo nos manaciais, and the World WildLife Fund.

The sandals are colorful and comfortable, contain no animal parts and industrial residues, painting residues, surplus PVC and the water used in production are 99% recycled. They are made from an air infused PVC that provides substantial cushion while molding to your foot. The Brazilian inspired styles have tribal influences of ancient forests in Brazil and their inhabitants. They are very reasonably priced but still nice to know that proceeds are going to some great causes like preserving these forests as well helping to keep waterways clean. The G2B comes in kiddie styles also.

Here are a few faves from Gisele and Ipanema.

You can purchase these fantastic flippers and sandals here. Thanks Gisele, Thanks Ipanema:)
